To provide a new self-crosslinkable polyhydroxy polyurethane resin which is capable of providing a product or the like excellent in smoothness, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, non-adhesiveness, heat resistance or the like, and which is environmentally-friendly and useful from the viewpoint of reduction of global warming gas, concerning a polyhydroxy polyurethane resin whose expanded application is not progressed in a conventional technology.
This invention relates to: a self-crosslinkable polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin induced from a reaction between a five-membered ring cyclic carbonate polysiloxane compound represented by general formula (1) and an amine compound, and having a polysiloxane segment and a masked isocyanate group in a structure; and a method for producing the resin. [In the formula, R1 represents a 1C-12C alkylene group (which may be connected with each element of O, S or N and/or -(C2H4O)b- in the group). R2 in the formula represents no group or a 2C-20C alkylene group, and R2 may be connected to an alicyclic group or an aromatic group. and b represents a number of 1-300, and a represents a number of 1-300].
