Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an increase in cost, make, self-diagnosing display easy- to-see, and also easily adjust a throttle position sensor by displaying output of the throttle position sensor on a digital water temperature display part of a meter panel together with a self-diagnosing result.
SOLUTION: Water temperature data on which A/D conversion is performed by a CPU of an electronic control fuel injection (EPI) control unit 24, is sent to a CPU 26 for a meter as serial communication data of a connected single set to show whether plural items of a self-diagnosis are respectively normal or abnormal. In the CPU 26, normally, only a water temperature is digitally displayed on a water temperature display part 18, but when data to show abnormality in a self-diagnosing item is transmitted, a water temperature and a self-diagnosing result are alternately displayed. When throttle position sensor adjusting data is put in failure diagnosing data preserved in the unit 24, the CPU 26 displays a horizontal bar-shaped mark to show upper, middle and lower positions in a left side fourth digit of the water temperature display part 18, and displays output of a throttle position sensor 22.
