To provide a self-help tool allowing persons with lumbago, especially the elderly to safely and easily put on/take off generally and commercially available trousers and underwear such as shorts with them sitting on chairs.
A plate 1 having a semicylindrical swelling 2 at its end is used. The plate is put on a chair or a bed and, when a user sits thereon, the thighs are placed on the semicylinder, the buttocks are put on the plate and some section (non-ground contact part) between the thighs and the buttocks is constantly floated therefrom. The user can move the trousers in a space between the buttocks and the non-grounding part. When the user backward inclines the posture, the thighs are floated, the weight is supported by the buttocks and the user can move the trousers between the non-grounding part and the knees. When forward inclining the posture and then backward, the user can move the trousers from the buttocks to the direction of the toes. When performing the inverse movement, the user can move the trousers from the toes toward the buttocks. Furthermore, when combinedly using a remote-control implement formed by fitting a material attached to a cloth to the end of a stick, the user can move the trousers even in a section from the knee to the toes.
