PURPOSE: To obtain a self lubricating insulated wire having the excellent heat resistance and abrasion resistance and lubricating ability by using a specified lubricating agent composition.

CONSTITUTION: The lubricating agent composition, which is obtained by dissolving and/or suspending a simple substance or mixture of long chain aliphatic diol showed with a usual formula HO-(CH2)n-OH and a simple substance or mixture of organic titanate compound in the solvent, is applied to and burnt on an insulating layer of an insulated wire. In the formula, n is the number from 16 to 20. An insulated wire having the excellent heat resistance in comparison to the conventional insulated wire and having durability and lubricating ability equal to or more than that of the conventional one and having the excellent self lubricating ability for coil winding processability can be obtained by using this lubricating agent composition even if the lubricating layer is extremely thin.
