Abstract:
To provide a self-luminescent braid for an indicator for limiting, guiding or controlling traffic, or for electric decoration in amusement facilities, stores and the like, which braid is safe and low in running cost, and has high visibility even in dark places.
The self-luminescent braid is constructed by reinforcing a flexible electroluminescent element sealed in a transparent pipe-shaped member or between two sheets of transparent films with a braid of a synthetic fiber to impart strength and abrasion resistance. Light is emitted by applying voltage to the electroluminescent element.
