PURPOSE: To provide a self-maintenance device for simply diagnosing the presence or absence of failure by taking advantages of inherent functions afforded by textile machinery as much as possible.

CONSTITUTION: A self-maintenance device is provided in a textile machine continuously operated for 24-hour. The device is provided with first means 33, 43, functioning as switches, for making operation, like free running different from normal operation in stoppage, second means 31, 41, functioning as timers for measuring numerical values indicating an operating state by means of the first means, third means CB1, CB11 for comparing the numerical values obtained from the second means 31,41 with a reference value, and fourth means 31, 41, functioning as liquid crystal panels for giving an alarm based on the third means, CB1, CB11.
