Title:
SELF-ORGANIZING MEMBRANE, SELF-ORGANIZING POLYMERIC THIN MEMBRANE AND ORGANOSILICON COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3968137
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject membrane having a homogeneous, strong and dense structure, excellent in the controllability on its thickness and capable of improving the sensitivity of an electrophotographic photoreceptor by bonding a boronic acid compound to metal oxide on a substrate via alkylenesiloxane bond.
SOLUTION: This is a self-organizing membrane having a structure in which boronic acid ester or its hydrolyzate is bonded to metal oxide on a substrate via alkylene siloxane bond. Examples of the membrane include a membrane having a structure of formula I [M is a metal atom; R is an alkyl; (n)=1-12]. A membrane exemplified here is obtained by dissolving a compound of formula II (X1 to X3 are each a halogen) in a solvent, bringing a substrate into contact with the resultant solution, and subsequently drawing up the substrate followed by washing with a solvent which can dissolve the compound.
