Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming pump which has high self-priming efficiency and high pumping efficiency.
SOLUTION: A self-priming pump 1 is composed of a pump part 4 which has an inner space divided into a tank chamber 20 and a pump chamber 21 by means of a partition plate 22, and a driving motor 7 for rotationally driving an impeller 8 housed in the pump chamber 21. When the impeller 8 is rotated, pumping operation during which liquid is suctioned from a liquid source is performed after priming process where air and the liquid are stirred in the pump part 4 and air is gradually discharged. The impeller 8 is arranged inside the pump chamber 21 in an axially movable manner. It is rotated at a position spaced from the partition plate during the priming process, and rotated near the partition plate during the pumping operation.
