The self-priming type pump 1 includes a motor part 10 having a water suction hole 11 and a pump part 30 in the vertical form and is furnished with a discharge part 50 in a single piece structure, wherein the motor part 10 is structured so that the rotor 15 having a magnetic piece 16 arranged along the inside surface of a stator 14 is supported rotatably by a stationary shaft 21 located in the center, and a water duct 20 is formed along the periphery of the rotary shaft 17 of the rotor 15, while the pump part 30 is structured so that an impeller 17 installed on the rotor 15 rotates and feeds the water to a discharge hole 51, wherein the bottom of the stationary shaft 21 is held in cantilever form by a stationary shaft holding part 64 provided at the casing while the top is not supported by the casing.
