Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing wet wipes having improved wet strength when using the one.
SOLUTION: Wet wipes are obtained by making paper with a mixture of a carboxymethyl cellulose having comparatively lower water-swelling properties or water-insoluble properties and/or its salt and a water-dispersible fiber to form a sheet, adding a base to the obtained sheet to make the carboxymethyl cellulose and/or its salt comparatively higher water-swelling or water-soluble and impregnating a liquid containing a polyvalent metal ion into the sheet treated with the base in the method for producing the objective wet wipes.
