Abstract:

To provide a self-propelled cleaner which requires a small area to be put on a floor to readily turn in a small circle, has excellent whole weight balance and excellent stability, and securely cleans a narrow clearance.

A first suction port 6 is formed on the bottom surface of the self-propelled cleaner 1, a guide portion 10 is provided along a longitudinal side surface of the suction port 6, and a communication portion 12 is provided between the guide portion and the first suction port. A sliding portion 13 of a pipe body 11 is slidably disposed in the guide portion, and a nozzle portion 14 provided with a second suction port 14a is provided at the end of the sliding portion. The rear end part side of the sliding portion is closed, an extension member 15 is extended from the rear end part, and a rack gear is formed at the extension member. An opening 13a is provided on the side of the first suction port on the rear end part side of the sliding portion. The rotation of a motor 16 is transmitted to the extension member, the nozzle portion is protruded from the self-propelled cleaner to clean the narrow clearance when the extension member is pushed out, and the nozzle portion is housed in the self-propelled cleaner when the extension member is retracted.
