To provide self-propelled equipment for automatically traveling by securing relative positions between an equipment body and an obstacle.
The self-propelled equipment includes: a sensor part 103 for detecting the obstacle 108 in the periphery of the equipment body 100; a radio tag reading part 105 for reading radio tag information which is transmitted from a ratio tag 107 arranged in the obstacle 108; a control part 101 for controlling the movement of the equipment body 100 by driving a moving means 102, on the basis of output signals from the sensor part 103 and the radio tag reading part 105; and a radio tag writing part 106 for writing information to the radio tag 107. The control part 101 performs control to write separation distance information from the obstacle 108 and positional information of the equipment body to the radio tag 107 via a radio tag writing part 106 when a radio signal is received from the radio tag 107.
