Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compact optical disk driving device whose assembling workability is improved.
CONSTITUTION: A first printed circuit board 38 comprising a signal demodulator circuit, a driving device control circuit and a driving circuit for driving a voice coil motor is mounted on the surface of a drive base 4. A first connector 40 is mounted on the rear side of the first printed circuit board 38. A movable optical assembly 24 having an objective lens 52 is mounted on the drive base 4 so as to be movable and a fixed optical assembly 26 having a laser diode module 54 and a photodetector 56 is mounted on the rear side of the drive base 4. The fixed optical assembly 26 contains a second printed circuit board 44 having a second connector 46 and the first and second printed circuit boards 38, 44 are connected through the first and the second connectors 40, 46.
