To provide a self-propelling missile launching apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of torsion in setting a horizontal position on an irregular ground without increasing apparatus weight, improving service life of the apparatus, improving accuracy of the horizontal position setting, and improving launching accuracy of a missile.
The self-propelling missile launching apparatus has a launching mechanism on a vehicle. The launching mechanism has a lower frame mounted on a frame of the vehicle, and an upper frame that is mounted on the lower frame via a hinge, can be vertically turned around the hinge by a lifting device, and supports the missile. The missile launching apparatus has a jack for supporting and lifting the frames of the vehicle right and left on the front side and rear side of the vehicle. A plurality of tilt angle meters for detecting a tilt angle with respect to the horizontal plane of the launching mechanism are disposed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and the jack is controlled based on the detected signals of the plurality of tilt angle meters.
