PURPOSE: To reduce a power loss associated with vibration by preparing guide grooves in both a movable scroll member and a fixed ring in a form of crossing each other, and fitting in the cross points, a sliding member for preventing a self movement of the scroll member.
CONSTITUTION: A vertical guide groove 11e is made in a plate 11a of a movable scroll member 11 and lateral guide grooves 12a, 12b are made in the front face of a fixed ring 12 parallelly to each other at upper and lower steps. Two balls 14, 15 which are positioned by a retainer 16 are put at two cross points P1, P2 of the guide grooves 11e, 12a, 12b, respectively. Thereby, a self movement preventive mechanism for the movable scroll member 11 can be extremely simplified and a power loss associated with vibration may be reduced.
