PURPOSE: To obtain of an elastic pivot long life and high reliability for swing rotation by forming piezoelectric elements in thin film status on both surfaces of a leaf spring for a conventional elastic pivot and fixing the piezoelectric elements and the leaf spring without any interposition such as adhesive, etc., between both members.
CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric element a5, and a piezoelectric element a6 consist of insulating layers 11 formed in thin film status on the surfaces of a leaf spring 4, electrode layers 8 formed in thin film status on the surfaces of the layers 11, transversal effect type piezoelectric element layers 9 formed in thin film status on the surfaces of the layers 8 and further electrode layers 8 in thin film status on the surfaces of the layers 9. Thus, piezoelectric elements and a leaf spring are fixed to each other without any excessive interposition such as adhesive, etc., between the piezoelectric elements and the leaf spring to eliminate any adhesive layer which be shortened the life of a conventional self-rotation type elastic pivot so that the extended life of the self-rotation type elastic pivot becomes possible.
