Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a self-service system such as an automatic teller machine(ATM), using prediction technique.
CONSTITUTION: When a user inserts an identification card to the card reading device of ATM 10 so as to start a transaction, which one of service or a service group provided by the system is requested by the user is predicted in prediction technique. The prediction is executed based on recording preserved inside the system, which indicates the transactions until that time point by the user. Prediction is executed before the commpletion of an authentication processing in the transaction and the operation speed of ATM 10 at the time of executing the transaction is improved. For example, a predicted money amount is counted before a predicted withdrawing request in order to reduce a whole transaction time. Specified display can also be generated for a specified user through the use of prediction and display is designed so as to facilitate decision and selection with necessity to be executed by the user.
