This self-standing type transfer device supports: large-diameter main wheels 8 each including a hand rim 9 for self-traveling provided in a crisscross base frame; brake frames 15 each including a brake mechanism formed at the tip thereof, a telescopic main pillar with foot plates provided on the right and left sides and erected; and casters 18a, 19a. A reception base for carrying the weight of a user, and an arm 3a including a handle are pivotally supported in an upper end part of the main pillar.
