Title:
SEMI-CATAMARAN TYPE WATER JETPROPELLED BOAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6133382
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce making-wave resistance due to a shell plate under the draft line of a stern end, by installing a water jet properller after forming a bottom concave part by symmetrical hulls formed under the surface of the water at a hull rear part into an arm form convexly bent at a part crossed with a stern end shell plate. CONSTITUTION:Two water jet propellers 6 are installed in a stern end shell plate 1 having a transom type buttock, while hull parts 8 branched at both sides are formed under the surface of the water at a hull rear part, and a bottom concave part 9 is formed in an interspace between these symmetrical hull parts 8. A part crossed with a stern end shell plate 4 of this bottom concave part 9, namely, a lower end edge 7 of the stern end shell plate 1 is formed into an arch form making an upper part approximate to the surface of the water and convexly bent upward. Each making-wave to be produced out of the lower end edge of the stern end shell plate 1 becomes small, reducing making-wave resistance, thus propulsion performance as a whole is improvable.
