To provide a semi-custom-made mat which can be used by cutting into various types of mats of different sizes as needed without the need to have various rolls of long mats of different widths in store.

The mat 13 includes piles 11 arranged longitudinally and transversely at a regular interval (G) and are secured to a base 12. The roots 16 of the piles 11 are integrated with the base 12. Partition grooves 14 where no piles are arranged and the distance (S) between piles are large are arranged longitudinally and transversely at a regular interval (L). The surface with piles are longitudinally and transversely partitioned by the vertical and horizontal partition grooves 14F and 14W into a plurality of blocks 15a, 15b, 15c, .... The interval (L) between the vertical and horizontal partition grooves 14 is 30-210 mm. The width (S) of the partition grooves 14 at their bottoms is not more than twice the length (h) of the piles and is 5 mm or more. The base 12 preferably has a multilayer structure which includes base fabric 17 to which the roots 16 of the piles are fixed and a liner material 18 which is placed on the rear surface of the base fabric 17.
