Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-solid lubricant composition and a wire using the same, wherein the semisolid lubricant composition can improve heat resistance, lubricity and water resistance as compared with a conventional semi-solid lubricant composition.SOLUTION: The semi-solid lubricant composition according to the present invention is characterized by having petrolatum containing grease. The semi-solid lubricant composition can improve heat resistance by applying the composition to an inside and an outside of the wire composed of a metal stranded wire, such as a wire rope and a wire/cable, and making the composition hard to sag even under a high temperature environment. In addition, the semi-solid lubricant composition of the present invention can improve the lubricity and the water resistance of the wire and also can extend a life of the wire.SELECTED DRAWING: None
