Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable approach of small vessel by inclining the right/left struts such that the center lines will open upward thereby reducing the gap against the strut when approaching and employing small protection member.
CONSTITUTION: Right/left struts 2 of a semi-submersible double-hull vessel are inclined outwardly such that the center lines will open upward. Consequently, the gap against the strut 2 is reduced when approaching to the quay 5 to enable employment of small protection member 6. Approch of small vessel is also enabled.
