Abstract:
A semi-trailer is adapted to transport alternatively a 20 min -shipping container and a 40 min -container. It comprises a main deck (I) provided with a wheel carriage, a head portion (II) and a tail portion (III), both narrower than the main deck. The head and tail portion are completely inserted into the main deck and overlap completely whenever the semitrailer is adapted to the carrying of a 20 min -container. Both the head portion and the tail portion are pulled out of the main deck for transporting a 40 min -container, overlapping with the main portion only as far as necessary for the stability of the structure.
