Title:
SEMIACTIVE ANTI-ROLL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002137619
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a suspension device having a stabilizer controllable selectively so as to minimize 'crosstalk' between wheels, to reduce rolling of a vehicle body and to prevent tractive force of a vehicle from being affected.

A stabilizer assembly for the vehicle having a pair of wheels away in a transverse direction includes first/second stabilizer members and a clutch assembly. Each of both of the stabilizer members is connected with one of the pair of wheels away in the transverse direction, and the clutch assembly is connected with both of the stabilizer members and can be operated in a first state and a second state. In the operation of the clutch assembly in the first state, both of the stabilizer members are capable of rotating independently each other so that the stabilizer assembly may not copy the operation of the one wheel on the other wheel. In the second state, both of the stabilizer members are coupled with each other and rotated to reduce rolling of the vehicle body.
