Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit capable of efficiently driving a light emitting element.SOLUTION: A semiconductor chip comprises: LED terminals P3a-P3c which are respectively provided for light emitting units 4a-4c and connected to respective second terminals of the corresponding light emitting units 4a-4c; current sources 30a-30c which are respectively provided for the LED terminals P3a-P3c and supply adjustable drive currents ILEDa-ILEDc to the corresponding light emitting units 4a-4c via the corresponding LED terminals P3a-P3c, respectively; a reference voltage source 34 which generates a reference voltage Vx corresponding to the drive current ILED; and a control circuit 40 which controls a DC/DC converter 104 so as to level the lowest voltage among voltages of the LED terminals P3a-P3c with the reference voltage Vx.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
