Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully execute the control of power source in addition to motor control in a semiconductor device for the inverter control of a motor.
SOLUTION: An inverter control microcomputer 10 has three AD converters 15a, 15b, 15c. The first and second AD converters 15a, 15b are used only for motor control and inputs the motor position detection signals PD1, PD2. Meanwhile, the third AD converter 15 inputs an analog signal SCIN, indicating the condition of the power source and is used for control of the power source. Namely, since the motor control and power source control are executed using individual AD converters, wating for AD conversion is not generated, and each control can be realized in optimum conditions.
