Abstract:
To provide a semiconductor device capable of efficiently using a cache memory by dynamically changing the cache memory by software.
In a semiconductor device having embedded software and performing calculation processing based on the above software, the semiconductor device includes CPU 2, cache memory 3 and cache memory controller 4. The CPU 2 performs calculation processing based on the software. The cache memory 3 temporarily retains information necessary for the CPU 2. Further, the cache memory controller 4 allows a memory area in the cache memory 3 to be used as an on-chip memory, depending on the software to be used.
