Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60182781
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lead out parallel-light beams directly by a method wherein a stem is provided with a concave reflection mirror to convert a light beam emitted out of a semiconductor light emitting element into parallel beams. CONSTITUTION:The stem 6 has a depression 7 at one end, and one end side of the depression 7 is swollen. A semiconductor laser diode 4 is mounted on the other end side of the stem 6. The surface of the swelling part of the stem 6 in opposition to the diode 4 is formed into a paraboloid, and the concave mirror 9 whose focus F is a light outlet on the light emission end surface of the diode 4 is formed. The light beam P emitted out of the diode 4 is reflected by the concave mirror 9 and then converted into parallel beams P1. These beams P1 are emitted outside through a window 5a of the cap 5.
