To provide a low-cost coloring matter sensitized solar battery having improved conversion efficiency and stability.
This oxide semiconductor electrode in which a coloring matter is chemically or physically bonded to an oxide semiconductor electrode thin film having an oxide semiconductor thin film provided on a substrate for giving a current change of 0.1 nA or more to a voltage change from -10 V to +10 V when voltage/current characteristics are observed in a concurrent current measurement mode for by atomic force observation microscope of the surface of the thin film consisting of oxide semiconductor particulates, comprises the oxide semiconductor thin film for giving a current change of less than 0.1 nA only when the current change similar thereto on the surface of the oxide semiconductor electrode is observed.
