Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress fluctuation in characteristics due to the influence of lens aberration' CONSTITUTION:This semiconductor laser array module is equipped with the semiconductor laser array 10 consisting of plural semiconductor lasers (channels 10A-10N) which are arrayed at equal intervals, a lens array 11 consisting of plural lenses which are arrayed at the same intervals with the semiconductor laser array 10, an optical isolator having what is called a nonreciprocal propagating function which transmits light in a light transmission direction, but does not transmit the light in the opposite direction, a condenser lens array 13 whose lens intervals match the laser intervals of the semiconductor laser array 10, and a single-mode fiber array 14 whose single-mode fiber intervals match the laser intervals of the semiconductor laser array 10. The lens surfaces of the respective lenses of the lens array 11 are made aspherical for the minimization of the lens aberrations so as to realize high coupling loss.
