Abstract:
To provide a semiconductor light emitter capable of shaping light in a lateral direction of a luminous flux emitted diagonally from a semiconductor laminated structure.SOLUTION: A semiconductor light emitter includes: a substrate; a semiconductor laminated structure including a light emitting part emitting light in an emission region in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, diagonally with respect to the substrate; and a shaping optics shaping a luminous flux emitted from the light emitting part. A lens closest to the light emitting part in the shaping optics is a cylindrical lens having positive power in the lateral direction. The front main plane of the cylindrical lens is parallel to the light emitting part, and the generatrix direction of the cylindrical lens is parallel to the longitudinal direction. When D represents a distance from the light emitting part to the light incident surface of the cylindrical lens, HA represents a distance from the light incident surface of the cylindrical lens to the front main plane, and f represents the focal length of the cylindrical lens, the following conditional expression (1) is satisfied.
