Abstract:
To provide a semiconductor light emitting device whose emitted wavelengths are very stable, and that can convert the wavelengths with high conversion efficiency in various wavelengths ranging from visible light to infrared light, and to provide an image display device.
In the semiconductor light emitting device and the image display device, a wavelength conversion part and a selective catoptric part can be suitably combined with a selective light absorption part and suitably arranged in specified relation to block a leak of primary light to the outside and convert wavelengths extremely efficiently, thus realizing emission of secondary light to the outside.
