Abstract:
Provided is a semiconductor-light-source lighting device (1) comprising: a step-up DC/DC converter (2) which uses electric power supplied by an onboard battery (4) through an input resistor (6) and an input filter (9) to supply electric power to a load (5) including a semiconductor light source; and a control device (3) which controls turning on and off of a switching element (22) included in the step-up DC/DC converter (2) to control operation of the step-up DC/DC converter (2) and controls the operation of the step-up DC/DC converter (2) through peak current mode control and constant output voltage control, wherein the control device (3) includes a power-on reset unit (80) which executes power-on reset of the control device (3) when an input voltage (Vin) of the input filter (9) has a smaller value than a predetermined threshold value (V81), and a constant-input-voltage control unit (90) which switches the operation control of the step-up DC/DC converter (2) by the control device (3) from the constant output voltage control to constant input voltage control to thereby cancel the execution of the power-on reset when the input voltage (Vin) has a smaller value than a predetermined reference value (V93).
