Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY CARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011146020
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a semiconductor memory card capable of preventing a high-speed mode pin from erroneously coming into contact with a terminal of a connector dedicated to a normal mode.

An SD memory card 100 includes: a normal mode pin 4 for causing a memory controller to read/write data from/to a memory package in a normal mode; a high-speed mode pin 5 used for causing the memory controller to read/write data from/to the memory package in a high-speed mode; and a step 6 that interferes with an opening of a card insertion hole of a connector dedicated to the normal mode to prevent the semiconductor memory card from being inserted up to a normal position of a card insertion hole of the connector dedicated to the normal mode. The normal mode pin 4 is arranged in a tip portion thereof in an insertion direction and the high-speed mode pin 5 is in a rearward position from the tip portion in the insertion direction, each of which is arranged in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction and aligned in two columns and adjacent to each other. The insertion direction into the connector is identical when used in the normal mode and when used in the high-speed mode.
