PURPOSE: To provide a semiconductive roller, which displays a stable electric characteristic with no unevenness of volume resistivity in a semiconductive region, by containing channel black and furnace black in a conductive elastic layer, and further limiting usage ratio there between.
CONSTITUTION: In a semiconductive roller wherein a conductive elastic layer is provided in the periphery of a shaft unit, the conductive elastic layer contains channel black and furnace black by ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:5. In this way, conductibility can be obtained by a relative small quantity further with no unevenness, and also in a semiconductive region, controllability to a desired resistance value can be attained. Ratio of containing carbon black in the conductive elastic layer is different in accordance with affinity to an elastic material in use and its plasticity, but the ratio is 3 to 20wt.% preferably 5 to 20wt.%. As the shaft unit, for instance, a metal material of Al or the like is used. As the elastic material, by which the conductive elastic layer is formed, synthetic rubber and synthetic resin are used.
