Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semipermeable membrane support having less defects such as pinholes and the like after coating a semipermeable membrane.SOLUTION: In a semipermeable membrane support consisting of nonwoven fabric containing at least a main synthetic fiber and a binder synthetic fiber, the average value of small bore diameter permeability is 0.3-5.0 cm/cms and the maximum value-minimum value of the small bore diameter permeability is 3.0 cm/cms or less (where, the small bore diameter permeability is air permeability obtained by converting air permeation resistance measured by an air permeability test machine with a small bore diameter vent hole into a value based on a Frazier shape method of JIS L 1913:2010; the average value of the small bore diameter permeability is an arithmetic mean value of the small bore diameter permeability in 10 measurement regions having a diameter of 8.94 mm and being continuous in a width direction on a center line in a longitudinal direction of divided regions in which a cut semipermeable membrane support in a width of 10×X cm and a length of 10 cm is uniformly divided in a width direction; X is a positive integer; and the maximum value-minimum value of the small bore diameter permeability is the maximum value-minimum value of the small bore diameter permeability in the 10 measurement regions).SELECTED DRAWING: None
