PURPOSE: To obtain a senstive material use amount recorder for film plotter which can positively conduct a control of a residual sensitive material amount.

CONSTITUTION: A film platter is provided with a residual sensitive material amount counter 2; a residual amount reading means 3a; a residual amount recording means 3b, and a control part 5. On the other hand, a residual amount recording medium 7 is provided in a dark box 6 loaded on the film plotter. At the time of loading the dark box 6, the control part 5 updates a count value in the residual sensitive material amount counter 2 in accordance with residual amount data recorded in the residual amount recording medium 7. At the time of unloading the dark box 6, the control part 5 updates the residual amount data recorded in the residual amount recording medium 7 in accordance with a count value in the residual amount counter 2.
