Abstract:
The apparatus has detector that outputs the detection signal by converting the to-be-detected physical quantity. A detector outputs a diagnostic signal by converting the physical quantity. A comparison section determines whether an abnormality is generated in the detector, based on a comparison between the diagnostic signal and the detection signal. A generator generates the abnormal signal corresponding to the diagnostic signal with an abnormal value. A switching section is provided for switching the diagnostic signal into the abnormal signal.
