Title:
SENSOR-EQUIPPED BEARING FOR WHEELS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012103221
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a sensor-equipped bearing for wheels capable of calculating consecutive estimated load values according to different input load states and outputting the estimated load values with minimum delays in detection time while reducing load estimation errors by compensating for nonlinear characteristics of the sensor.

Out of an outward member 1 and an inward member 2 of a bearing for a wheel, a fixed side member is equipped with sensor units 20A and 20B. Each of the sensor units comprises a distortion generating member having three or more contact-fixed parts that are contact-fixed to the fixed side member, and two or more sensors that are fitted to these contact-fixed parts and detect distortions. There are also provided first load estimating means 31 that calculates the load working on the bearing for the wheel from the average value of sensor output signals, second load estimating means 32 that calculates the same from the average value and amplitude values of the sensor output signals, and estimated load output means 33 that synthesizes the calculation results of these load estimating means in proportions according to the rotating speed of the wheel and outputs an estimated load value.
