Title:
SENTINEL LYMPH NODE-DETECTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003290127
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a sentinel lymph node-detecting method which can identify the accurate location of a sentinel lymph node, and by which burden to a patient receiving a celiotomy, or the like, can be reduced as well.

In this sentinel lymph node-detecting method, the sentinel lymph node in which an X-ray contrast agent is residing in the vicinity of a lesion area in a biological internal cavity is imaged by using X-ray sources 2 and 4 and X-ray cameras 3 and 5, and the X-ray image is displayed on an X-ray image display unit 9. An operator sets a marking needle at a confronted location on the biological internal cavity wall surface of the sentinel lymph node while observing the location of the sentinel lymph node on the X-ray image on the X-ray image display unit 9. The X-ray source is placed under a stopped state and under the marking needle set state, and a visible beam image which is imaged by an endoscopic camera by a visible beam is displayed on an endoscopic image display unit 10. Marking is performed by the marking needle while the visible beam image is being observed.
