To provide a screwdriver which eliminates need of carrying an unnecessary bit, consists of two most frequently used screwdrivers with different handle lengths, and is easier to handle than conventional ones.

A separate-type screwdriver 1 of the invention is constituted of: an upper screwdriver 2 consisting of an upper screwdriver body 4 having an upper part forming a curved surface 4a and a connection 4d on a lower part and further including a bit 4e to have its tip protruding downward from a bottom face of the connection 4d and an upper screwdriver body cover 5 equipped with upper and lower openings 5d and 5e, forming unevenness 5b around its outer peripheral surface and covering the outer peripheral surface from the center of the upper screwdriver body 4 to the upper part; and a lower screwdriver 3 consisting of a lower screwdriver body 6 including an upper connection 6a having a hexagonal hole 6i and a bit insertion hole 6j bored and a lower connection 6b having a bit 6c with its tip protruding from the center and a lower screwdriver body cover 7 equipped with upper and lower openings 7d and 7g, forming unevenness 7a on a surface and covering an upper outer peripheral surface of the lower screwdriver body 6, wherein the lower screwdriver 3 is detachably coupled with the upper screwdriver 2 by fitting the connection 4g of the upper screwdriver 2 into the hexagonal hole 6i and concurrently fitting the tip of the protruding bit 4e into the bit insertion hole 6j.
