Title:
SEPARATED LUBRICATING DEVICE OF OUTBOARD ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5790496
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the variation of the sucking quantity of lubricating oil caused by the viscosity of the lubricating oil, by supplying the lubricating oil from a subtank to a lubricating oil pump and operating intermittently a suction pump on the basis of the output of an oil quantity detector. CONSTITUTION:Lubricating oil in a subtank 70 is supplied to every required part of an engine 12 by a lubricating oil pump 54 as the engine starts. When the oil level in the subtank 70 is below the normal level, a motor is started by the operation of the conductive plate of a float, and a suction pump 94 sends the lubricating oil in a lubricating oil tank 22 to the subtank 70 under pressure through pipes 26, 90. When the oil level in the subtank 70 rises, transfer of the oil from the lubricating tank 22 to the subtank 70 under pressure is stopped.
