PURPOSE: To securely separate and feed thin sheet objects one at a time by providing a holding device having an end part for holding a thin sheet object with an adhesive provided on its surface and a clamp plate which is moved so as to separate said thin sheet object.

CONSTITUTION: A separating device is formed with a holding device 1 having an end part 4 which can hold a thin sheet object by means of an adhesive 2, and a clamp plate 5 which is moved so as to separate the thin sheet object. The holding device 1 is formed with a supporting member 7 provided on a loading plate 6, a base member 8 supported by the supporting member 7, and an adhesive 2 provided on the surface of the base member 8. And, the clamp plate 5 is vertically moved by means of a cylinder 11 provided on the loading plate 6 and, when the clamp plate 5 is positioned on the uppermost part, the end part 4 of the holding device 1, i.e., the bottom end part of a touch roller 7 is projected out of the bottom face of the clamp plate 5. Thereby, the thin sheet object can be securely separated and fed one at a time.
