Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the clogging of a filter in a separating device for separating developer from a foreign matter by allowing the recovered developer including the foreign matter to pass through a mesh filter.
CONSTITUTION: The material of a filter mesh 20 is selected so that the electrostatic charging polarity of the filter mesh 20 by the friction with the developer may be the same as the electrostatic charging polarity of the developer. Since the filter and the developer are electrostatically charged to the same polarity, the clogging of the filter with the developer is prevented.
