Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate a closed curve having an optional shape into two closed curves having required shapes by specifying two points and the radius of arcs on a provided closed curve and forming two closed curves on the basis of the specified results. CONSTITUTION:Two points P1, P2 on the provided closed curve CLP and the radius (r) of arcs are specified to specify arcs ARC1, ARC2 having the same radius (r) and respective centers C1, C2 on the normals N1. N2 of closed curves passing respective points. If two points on these arcs are defined as Q1, Q2 respectively the 1st closed curve FCLP is specified by a curve CV1 from a point P2 to a point P1 in the clockwise direction out of two curves of a closed curve CLP separated by the points P1, P2, a clockwise arc part P1Q1 on an arc ARC1, a straight line Q1Q2, and a clockwise arc part Q2P2 of an arc ARC2. Similarly, the 2nd closed curve SCLP is specified. Consequently, the shape surrounded by the closed curve CLP is separated into shapes F1, F2 surrounded by closed curves FCLP, SCLP respectively.
