To provide a separating pawl which sufficiently satisfies the perfor mance required as separating pawl and withstands long-term use by applying a coating film consisting of a specific resin on a molding consisting of a thermo tropic liquid crystal resin.

Varnish of a polybenzimidazole-based resin or silicone-based resin is applied on the molding obtd. by injection molding using the thermotropic liquid crystal resin and is baked. The liquid crystal resin includes, for example, liquid crystalline polyester, liquid crystalline polycarbonate, liquid crystalline polyester imide, etc., and more specifically, (fully)arm. polyester, polyester amide, polyamide imide, polyester carbonate, polyazomethine, etc. In such a case, the silicone varnish is applied by suitable means, such a s dipping and electrostatic coating, etc., on the molding and is then dried by force heating at a temp. exceeding 170°C, more preferably 190 to 400°C to form the secure resin film.
