Title:
SEPARATION OF ACIDIC OIL AND BASIC OIL IN LIQUEFIED COAL OIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60161482
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate and fractionate the acidic oil and basic oil in liquefied coal oil, remarkably improving the separation selectivity of each component existing in these oils, by dissolving and extracting the acidic oil and basic oil respectively with dilute aqueous solution of an alkali and dilute aqueous solution of an acid.

CONSTITUTION: The acidic oil and the basic oil in the liquefied coal oil are dissolved and extracted respectively with an aqueous solution of alkali and an aqueous solution of acid each having a concentration of ≤0.2N. Various components in the acidic oil and the basic oil are separated successively in the order of the component having lower molecular weight, smaller substitution degree of alkyl, and shorter side chain.

EFFECT: Phenol, cresol, etc. in acidic oil and pyridine, etc. in basic oil can be separated economically.
