Title:
SEPARATION OF BASIC AMINO ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6261592
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To readily separate a basic amino acid of high purity with saved energy, by bringing a solution containing the basic amino acid into contact with a strongly acidic cation exchange resin at a specific pH, bringing a neutral amino acid into contact with the resin and eluting the adsorbed substance.

CONSTITUTION: An amino acid fermentation liquor containing a basic amino acid, e.g. lysine, of ≤4pH at which the basic amino acid contained therein may be present in the form of bivalent cations is brought into contact with a strongly acidic cation exchange resin to adsorb the basic amino acid thereon. A solution containing a basic amino acid and neutral amino acid or acidic amino acid is then added to the resin and brought into contact therewith at 4W10pH at which the basic amino acid is not present in the form of bivalent cations but may be present in the form of monovalent cations to newly adsorb the basic amino acid thereon. An eluent, e.g. an aqueous solution of NaOH in 0.5W5 N concentration, is passed through the resin to give an eluate and the aimed basic amino acid is separated and obtained therefrom.
