The separation column is molded into a columnar shape using a porous material and equipped with the monolithic rod 1 to which a functional group is chemically bonded, the resin cover material 2 provided in the outer periphery of the monolithic rod, the filling material 3 charged in the outer periphery of the resin cover material 2, and a flow channel allowing a sample and a mobile phase to flow into the monolithic rod 1 and preventing their inflow into the filling material 3. By this constitution, the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material of the monolithic rod 1 and that of the material of the filling material 3 is allowed to approach each other, and the load on the monolithic rod 1 from the filling material 3 is reduced.
