To provide a separation device which is applicable for a workpiece without being limited to a light weight bar-like workpiece and can separate the bar-like workpiece one by one with a simple and inexpensive constitution without generating noise such as vibration or the like and without causing damages such as wear or flaw to the bar-like workpiece.
A first shielding part 8 is liftably provided in the inclined downstream direction of a bottom surface 5 of a workpiece storage part 3 capable of storing a lot of bar-like workpiece W, a bar-like workpiece W flowing down is shielded and restricted at a descending position, and the flowing down of the bar-like workpiece W in the inclined downstream direction is allowed at the ascending position. A second shielding part 9, which is adjacent in the inclined downstream direction of the bottom surface 5 and can be lifted along with the first shielding part 8, is provided. The second shielding part 9 has a separation distance capable of storing only one bar-like workpiece W between the second shielding part 9 and the first shielding part 8. The flowing down of the bar-like workpiece W passed through the first shielding part 8 is restricted at the ascending position, the bar-like workpiece W is interposed with the first shielding part 8 in the lowering process from the ascending position, and the bar-like workpiece W is separated one by one by allowing the flowing down in the downstream direction of the bar-like workpiece W at the descending position.
